How to make gradient fills less grainy Gerber OMEGA has a vector halftone setting called GerberTone Fine. This offers a smaller dot and little to no banding in fades/gradients. Select the vectors that need the halftone changed, and press 4 on the keyboard. Choose GerberTone Fine for the halftone type to be used.

How to make pictures look less grainy Newer versions of Gerber OMEGA have an image halftone type called GerberTone STC Photo. This type provides smaller dots for images and does not show "banding" or "contouring" in the prints. Choose GerberTone STC Photo in the Image Fill dialog box and set the LPI to 70. You can also preference this halftone so it gets used automatically.
