Two-Flute Spiral Bits
These are the most versatile type of bits and are used for general routing of the following materials. These bits provide excellent chip removal from the cut because of the upward spiral action. They also assure excellent edge quality on these materials.
Hard materials:
Such as plate aluminum, brass, bronze, copper; cast acrylics,
solid surface materials, particle board, plywood, and hardwoods.
Soft materials:
Such as foam boards, PVC (Sintra®, Komatex, Trovicel®, Celtec, etc.)
engraving stock, soft plastics, soft woods, and similar density materials.

Three-Flute Spiral Tapered Bits
Tapered bits give you an angle on the edge of the material being cut. As a result, these bits are excellent for cutting vacuum form molds. Also, when you want something other than a straight edge for special applications, these bits can be used to create a "halo" effect without adding any additional cost.
