GERBER OMEGA™ runs on Windows 7 and Vista
- If you have a GERBER EDGE FX, you can run OMEGA 4.0 on 64 bit versions of Windows 7 or Windows Vista, or Windows XP (32 bit).
- If you have a GERBER EDGE or EDGE 2, you must use 32 bit Windows 7, Vista or XP (XP SP2 or later) and have an ECP parallel port on the motherboard. OMEGA 4.0 software will run on 64 bit Windows systems with full functionality EXCEPT that EDGE 2 ECP Parallel port communication is not supported by these systems.

Important note for EDGE 2 customers purchasing new PCs |
|
If you have a GERBER EDGE 2 and choose to upgrade your PC, you will need an ECP parallel port on the mother board to drive the EDGE 2 AND a 32 bit version of Windows 7, Vista or XP. If this ECP parallel port is not available, the addition of an aftermarket ECP card will NOT work with the EDGE 2. Customers can purchase the USB-to-Parallel cable option if an ECP port is not available on their PC. (More...) |

OMEGA CL has been discontinued with OMEGA 2.5. Customers with OMEGA CL who purchase an OMEGA upgrade also get a level to level upgrade to OMEGA CS. This offer may be discontinued at any time. OMEGA CL customers who upgrade to OMEGA 2.6 also get upgraded to OMEGA CS at no additional cost. |
