Compare almost any color |
- Use the ColorID software program to compare the color of one vinyl, GerberColor Spectratone, Spectratone II, or PANTONE color to any other color in OMEGA.
- You can open ColorID from Composer, select the color you want to compare, and automatically fill or assign the color back in Composer. This method closes the color matching/digital imaging loop by allowing you to compare to a specific palette, then print the job on a Gerber thermal printer.
- The Gerber ColorID software option is now included with OMEGA CP.

Compare PANTONE colors to EDGE Spot Colors |
- Suppose a customer brings you a color sample that is required in the job without any other information.
- Use a PANTONE guide to visually determine the closest color, then using Gerber ColorID, make PANTONE the Source Palette and color. Choose and use the Source Color drop-down list to choose the appropriate color.
- When you choose GerberColor Foils for the Matching Target Palette, ColorID will automatically find the closest EDGE spot color for the PANTONE color.

Match material colors |
- Suppose you made a sign for a customer in dark blue Gerber 220 vinyl. Now your customer comes back and wants EDGE decals with the same color blue.
- Using Gerber ColorID, make Gerber 220 vinyl the Source Palette, dark blue the Source Color, and GerberColor Foils as the Matching Target Palette.
- ColorID automatically generates the closest EDGE Spot color to the vinyl color.
