This custom installation provides unique software and firmware files to update 
OMEGA™ and the GERBER EDGE FX™. The following materials have been updated/added

Abrasion Guard SPF
Convex (available as Edge Ready material from GMS)
Big Dog (available as Edge Ready material from GMS)

NOTE: Keep this disk in a safe location. If OMEGA or the GERBER EDGE FX 
firmware is updated in the future, or if the OMEGA software is moved to a new
computer, these files must be reinstalled.

Custom Installation Instructions for OMEGA Software Files:
----------------------------------------------------------

1. Close all OMEGA programs including GSPTray. It is also recommended that you
   close any virus scan software that is running.

2. Locate the following files after the download:
	
	gspclrid.dat

	CLRDCAL.PAL

	CFP.pal

	E3FIRE.B32

	firefile.b32

3. Copy and paste the files into the C:\GSP\Software\Palettes folder where "C" 
   is the designation of the hard drive where OMEGA is loaded. When asked if 
   you would like to replace the files, click Yes.



Custom Installation Instructions for GERBER EDGE FX Firmware Files:
-------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE: The file "E3Fire_SRE.sre" contains a custom Fire File 
(version 165). It does not contain the main operating firmware 
for the GERBER EDGE FX. Therefore, when updating the EDGE FX firmware in the 
future, it will be necessary to also update the unit with 
"E3Fire_SRE.sre" afterwards. After updating, the version  of the 
Fire File can be checked at the GERBER EDGE FX front panel or on the Diagnostics
web page. The Fire File version is 165.

1. At the GERBER EDGE FX, press F1 in the MAIN MENU to set the printer OFFLINE 
   so that it is ready for the firmware update.

2. The GERBER EDGE FX firmware is updated via the GERBER EDGE FX web page. On 
   the computer that is connected to the printer, open the GERBER EDGE FX web
   interface by entering the printer's IP address in the Location or Address 
   line of your web browser (such as Microsoft® Internet Explorer) or by clicking 
   the Device Home Page icon in the Add or Delete Vinyl Printers dialog box. The
   "Welcome to GERBER EDGE FX" screen displays.

3. Click the Update link to open the GERBER EDGE FX Update page. This page allows
   the firmware file to be selected and sent to the GERBER EDGE FX.

4. Click the Browse button and navigate to EDGE FX firmware file:
       E3Fire_SRE.sre which is located on the Custom Installation CD.

5. Click the Send button to send the update file to the GERBER EDGE FX over the
   network. 

6. When the firmware update is complete, a status page displays the results. You
   may close the web page. Installation is complete.
